Welcome to Tipis at Mapledurham – a premium, sustainable, and inclusive outdoor wedding venue brought to the estate through our partnership with B Corp Raw Tipis. Set within the grounds in front of the historic house, the venue is designed to complement the breathtaking landscape of Mapledurham with a luxury space build purely for celebration – whether you’re planning an intimate ceremony or a grand reception.
Your day begins the moment you arrive. Couples can choose to arrive by boat, mooring in view of the watermill – the last working watermill on the Thames – for a truly memorable start. From there, exchange vows at one of our licensed outdoor ceremony spaces, hold a cultural ceremony within the grounds or say “i do” at the Parish Church before moving into the tipi to dine, drink and dance the night away.
Permanently built with solid oak frames, movable panoramic windows and wooden flooring, the tipi combines the charm of traditional canvas tipis with the comfort of a purpose-designed space- holding up to 160 guests seated for the day and 200 for an evening celebration , in any weather, inside, a built-in stage, circular bar, cloak room and shepherd hut restrooms take care of the practical, whilst fairy lights, festoon and wagon wheel chandeliers create a warm atmosphere thoroughtout.
Experience the venue in 3D and enquire with Tipis at Mapledurham to receive their Wedding Brochure. It includes a breakdown of the venue package, pricing, trusted partners and everything that makes this venue truly unique.
“Tipis at Mapledurham is like something we have never seen before, it felt homely and bespoke and something completely different to any wedding we have attended. We managed to throw an incredible Indian reception party, all with the help of the Raw Tipis team. Our guests are constantly mentioning how amazing the venue was, and they are not wrong !” Natasha 2025 Bride
