Our event weekend on the banks of the River Thames is in the lovely Mapledurham estate, making it the perfect place for a relaxing weekend of Trails and adventure.  Bring the family, bring the kids, bring well behaved woof woofs.  Whilst you run 50 Miles the family can walk, whilst you walk the family can sit by the river and read.  The ethos is about challenge and achievement but everything is relaxed and we want everyone to finish, welcome to the Goring Gap Trails.

Starlight Hike 24/10/2026

Sue Ryders biggest fundraising event of the year Starlight Hike is returning to Mapledurham Estate on Saturday 24th October 2026 at 5pm.

Get together with friends and family and walk our 5k or 10k route which wraps around the beautiful grounds of the estate, with stunning views across the Thames.  .

Enjoy live music and join in an energetic Zumba warm up before setting off on your hike. You’ll be joining together with hundreds of others to celebrate the lives of those we love and miss. On the route, you’ll pass a special remembrance area where you can make a dedication for your loved ones.

This route is challenging in places and not suitable for those using walking aids or pushchairs.
