Wind and water are sustainable power sources, used for hundreds of years in Britain in the production of natural foods. Since 1929 the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) Mills Section has always “encouraged the art of country milling.” Mapledurham watermill has been producing flour for over 500 years and it will be one of the many mills celebrating National Mills Weekend. The mill will be open from 2 p.m to 5 p.m. each day.
